Lay yourself down or even just sitting if you’d prefer and if you like, you can enjoy the reassuring warmth of a soft blanket. I love nothing more than making you feel nurtured and very special, so feel welcome to bring your own blanket or sheet. All you need to do, is relax and open your mind. Through a series of hand placements on, near and around your head and body, allow me to take you on a journey into deep relaxation, with the gentle tones of music composed specifically for use during Reiki sessions,
Many things can be experienced during a Reiki session and it is difficult to quantify as it is very much an individual experience. Heat, coolness and colours is very common, however there are some clients who feel absolutely nothing at all. Feeling nothing is perfectly alright, just because you can’t ‘feel’ the energy, it doesn’t mean that it’s not working.
My own young children absolutely love receiving Reiki and refer to it as ‘Magic Hands’. If the appointment is for a child, they are very, very welcome to bring along their favourite bedtime snuggle buddy and/or their favourite blanket and we can use relaxing music for children. Older children are also more than welcome to bring along a source of comfort. A parent or guardian is welcome to remain in the treatment room throughout the session.
