“Reiki is love,

Love is wholeness,

Wholeness is balance,

Balance is Wellbeing”

Mikao Usui
  • Would you like to improve your overall wellbeing, but don’t like to be massaged?
  • Don’t like being touched but would love to try what could be a deeply relaxing, stress relieving treatment?

Did you answer “yes” or “maybe” to any of the above?

Please…read on to gain a better understanding of Reiki and it’s many benefits.

What does Reiki mean?

Reiki pronounced ‘Ray-Key’ is a Japanese word, Rei meaning ‘Universal’ and Ki meaning ‘Vital life force energy’. It was in the 1920’s that Mikao Usui developed the Reiki system we still use today, and I as a Practitioner and have been trained by my Master Teacher, through an initiation process, where my Master passed on his knowledge and expertise to myself, as his student.

But what does it do?…

It is believed that Reiki is a natural and powerful healing system that creates symphony throughout the body, which can be used on all living things, as it unlocks the vital inner energy flow between the receiver and the sender. It is believed to be a way to harmonise and energise vital meridians and acupuncture points throughout the body, while gently balancing and bringing into alignment, the major energy centres, also known as Chakra, in the physical and finer areas of the body.

So how do you give it?

Reiki is given as an energy transfer, with minimal contact using the palms of the hands on or near the body and can be a deeply relaxing experience for the receiver.

What kind of thing can it help?…

Reiki is deeply meditative and can help to relieve the stresses and strains of life, release tension and improve your sense of wellbeing. This relaxed state of being can be very healing for the spirit and emotions.

Reiki can be given as a support structure to medical conditions and procedures, that does not conflict or interfere with medication or medical advice. Reiki does NOT replace the need to seek and follow professional medical advice. Discontinuing a treatment plan set out by a Healthcare Professional, for any health condition, is highly discouraged.
